1. Convert your booking

For us to create your online account, you will need to provide an email address. This will be your parent or guardian’s email if you are aged under 16 years.

For Trinity to create your online account, you will need to provide an email address. This will be your parent or guardian’s email if you are under 16 years old.

How long do I wait for the login details?

Once Trinity have processed your application, you will receive an email with details on how to login into the system to upload your video and supporting documentation. They estimate this will be approximately 14 days after completing the form, but occasionally it may take a little longer. If you have not received a message from us outside of this period, please ensure that your mail server has not moved this into your junk/spam folder and contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. 2. Record your performance

  • Candidates should film all pieces in one continuous recording.
  • Candidates must not upload separate performances or edit takes together.
  • Separate performances or edited videos will not be eligible for assessment.

Compressing your video file

If uploading directly from a phone or tablet, you’ll probably need to compress the video first, so that it meets the criteria for the online portal. There are many apps that can help you do this, for example:

  • For iPhone/iPad/iOS, ‘Compress Videos & Resize Videos’
  • For Android devices, ‘Video Transcoder’

What format should I upload in?

  • You should upload your video and supporting documents in any of the following formats:
    • MP4
    • MOV
    • JPEG
    • DOC / DOCX
    • PNG
    • PDF
  • Videos and supporting documents in formats other than those listed above will not be eligible for upload.
  • Videos are limited to the following for each candidate submission:
    • Initial and Grade 1: 50MB
    • Grades 2 and 3: 100MB
    • Grades 4 and 5: 150MB
    • Grade 6: 200MB
    • Grade 7: 250MB
    • Grade 8: 300MB
    • ·Diplomas: 350MB

How should I label the video file?

Your file should be labelled with your name, subject (and instrument for music), and grade/diploma level:

  • Yourname_Classical(instrument)_Grade(number)
  • Yourname_R&P(instrument)_Grade(number)
  • Yourname_Drama(subject)_Grade(number)
  • Yourname_Classical(instrument)_Diploma(ATCL/LTCL)

3. Log into your account and upload your performance and supporting documentation.

Candidates will need to submit their video and supporting documentation within 14 days of receiving their login details.

Candidates must upload their video and also any supporting documentation which may be required.

The examiner cannot assess the candidate’s performance without the documentation.

A Word document or PDF listing each of your pieces and the composer in the order in which you are playing them.

l If candidates are playing from alternative pieces and are not found from the Trinity graded exam book, they must upload copies of these alternative pieces which are not from the Trinity Graded Exam Pieces Book, alongside their video exam performance.

l If candidates are performing an own-choice song, they must also upload a scanned copy or photograph of the written sheet music.

l If candidates have any supporting letters to notify the examiner of any extra time or special allowance that Trinity should be aware of, please upload them as well.

l Music diploma candidates should upload their printed programme and, if applicable, their programme approval letter.

4. Your work will be assessed by an examiner

5. You will receive an email when the results are ready. You need to log in to Trinity portal to receive your result.
